It seems more than obvious to write blog posts your readers want, doesn’t it?
Unfortunately, far too many bloggers write content that serves their own purpose far more than that of their readers.
You may want to write “great content” designed primarily to get people to buy your products or services, or to get them to your next webinar, or to have them subscriber to your email list.
Those things may well be things YOU want out of your blog post.
But is that what your readers want?

Do you know what your readers want?
Now here’s some other questions for you.
Do you write blog content that …
- is important for your readers?
- is interesting to read?
- is fun to read?
- is full of information that you want them to know?
- makes convincing points designed to get them to take targeted actions?
- helps you target them better according to interests? challenges them to achieve specific goals?
These are all important reasons to deliver blog content.
The Bigger Picture
But here’s the most critical question to answer if you want your blog to excel:
Do you write blog content that your readers want?
You may be a bit confused, at this point, as to what… exactly… your readers actually do want.
This may help.
Do you write blog content that makes your readers’ world shift?
What do I mean by “shift?”

I mean two things:
- to re-examine how they’re doing things… their “standard operation procedure.”
- to and make changes that will actually improve their lives.
You see, all of the other reasons for you to write content is secondary to this.
Drawing (Not “Driving” Traffic)
If you write blog posts that truly improve the lives of your readers, they won’t be reading your articles because they rank high in the search engines, or because you’ve been working the social media sites day and night to “get the word out” about your new post.
They’ll be reading your articles because, after all, they WANT their lives to improve, and they recognize that your articles can help that happen.
When there’s a compelling reason like this to read your blog, readers will come looking for it.
You won’t have to “drive” traffic to your blog, the traffic will be “drawn” to it.

Furthermore, grateful readers will eagerly share it on their social media sites.
In fact, they’ll tell everyone they can think of about your blog.
“Friends of friends” will come because they want their lives improved, too.
The Shift
When you make their world shift under their feet, readers will take notice, and will happily become loyal followers and promoters of your blog.
When you make the world shift for your readers, they will put you on top of their list of people to follow… very carefully.
You want readers of your articles, visitors to your blog, subscribers to your email list, and buyers of your products and services.
But what do they want?
They want their lives to improve.
They want their world to shift.
Your readers are tired of being saddled with the same old struggles, and a history of repeated failures.
I repeat, they WANT a shift in their world.
Create content on your blog to make that happen.
That’s how to write blog posts your readers want.
