I’ve written very few articles in which I use “content curation” as method for delivering information. I usually write from my own personal experience in the internet marketing niche.
Content Curation: The Process
Content curation is the process of collecting information from other people, usually experts on the topic you are writing about.
It’s quite different than writing strictly from your own perspective. You are including a range of varying concepts and interpretations on your topic. But articles like that are not just collections, they are infused with your own unique perspective based on the range of ideas you present to your readers.
Content Curation Sites
Even though you may be curating content for many of your own articles, though, your site is not considered a content curation site. That definition is reserved for sites that are totally comprised of curated content.
Content curation sites are a great place to find information in your niche, and as such, one of the great resources you can turn to as a blogger, internet marketer and networker.
You’ve probably heard of, or visited, sites like Techmeme and Alltop. These are good examples of content curation sites.
The best tutorials I’ve come across concerning this topic are contained in a 3-part series of articles authored by an astute blogger and sharp online marketer, Sue Bride. I strongly suggest you visit her blog to learn much greater detail about content curation. Her 3-part series begins with an article called “What Is Content Curation”.
